FoodNetwork Chopped: After Hours
The online team at FoodNetwork.com needed a way to promote the web-only series “Chopped: After Hours” and present the content in a way that could be monetized and sponsored. The request was for a destination that offered more content and engagement than a simple video channel. Working closely with the back end development team to leverage available data and minimize editorial upkeep, I designed a page that would retain focus on the video plays while also giving attention to each individual episode. The timeline-like approach would give new visitors a quick glimpse at all of the available content to understand the nature of the series as well as provide various content entry points (as opposed to waiting for each video to play in succession and risk abandonment). The web-series was nominated for a CableFAX award for best online-only series.
